St Thomas', Michelago

St Thomas', Michelago is located approximately 50Km from Queanbeyan (a 40 minute drive) on the Monaro Highway from Canberra to Cooma.

The small weatherboard church is located on Ryrie Street next door to the Michelago Police Station.

The church is located in the Snowy Monaro Regional Council local government area and is heritage listed with that Council.

History
There is not a lot known at this time about the history of the church except that it was built c. 1860's by Alexander Ryrie who owned the property of Michelago on which it was built.

Research into the history of the church is continuing.
